AI Enablement Specialist
Do you love getting people genuinely excited about AI, and have the skills to deliver the workshops, training and programs that make it stick?
The client
Buddy Advisory is proud to be partnering with Propel Ventures, an AI-first product and technology consultancy working with ambitious Australian businesses. Propel doesn't just advise on AI, they embed it: across engineering and build, product and strategy, and AI transformation. With a team of around 50 in Australia, they work with clients ranging from high-growth founders to ASX listed enterprises.
Their fastest-growing pull right now isn't for code. It's for help getting people and leaders genuinely using AI. Propel is turning that demand into a dedicated AI Enablement Specialist, and they're looking for someone to help shape and deliver it.
The role
This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role at the heart of Propel's next growth chapter. You'll be central to the execution of the AI Enablement service line, refining the offer, delivering engagements, and ensuring every interaction earns the trust that opens bigger transformation work downstream. Sales will be largely led by Propel's Exec/Commercial function; your focus is excellence in delivery and contributing to a practice that performs.
The responsibilities
Shape and refine the enablement offering: embedded enablement, proprietary training formats (think "Claude / Copilot days" and boot camps), and a subscription community sharing best-practice AI uplift to a paying audience.
Deliver hands-on, use-case-specific enablement with client teams and executives, consistently converting engagements into downstream functional and platform work.
Be one of the faces of the line, keynotes, conference talks, workshops, LinkedIn and content, while protecting the positioning: enablement as the wedge into transformation, never commodity training.
Contribute to the growth of the subscription community and the content engine that feeds it.
Execute consistently against quality and commercial standards; margin, reporting, and repeatable delivery.
The requirements
A confident, energising presence in the room with experience delivering AI workshops.
Genuinely AI-fluent and hands-on with modern tools (Claude, Copilot, agents, prompting, automation), enough to guide people building real things.
Commercially sharp: able to build relationships, open doors at executive level, and contribute to growth.
Comfortable operating with pace and amid ambiguity, in an environment where not everything is fully built yet.
High emotional intelligence: patient, warm, and able to make non-technical people feel capable, not overwhelmed.
A product and problem-solving mindset: you spot the high-value use case and shape a practical solution.
Desirable: a background in product, consulting or technology delivery.
Why join
A rare greenfield opportunity; build and own a service line with real demand already behind it, backed by Propel's brand, partnerships and existing client base.
Work with ambitious clients across wealth, retail, energy and education on AI programs that actually change how people work.
Proof the model works: a recent ~500-person enterprise program quadrupled AI usage in four weeks and lifted active use to 92% of staff.
50-person team, exec access, and genuine input into how the practice grows, without the bureaucracy of a large firm.
Melbourne based with travel to client sites and events as the role demands.
Salary guidance: $100-$120K + superannuation
